The teachers of the Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Americas Courses, who have expert knowledge in the languages of the various regions, cultures, histories, societies, and contemporary circumstances, offer classes concerning a variety of global phenomena and regional formations, diversity, and thematic concerns. In the Europe Course, in addition to studying about the historical formation and changes in European countries such as France and Russia, students learn about various problems surrounding Imperialism and immigration/emigration. In the Asia-Pacific Course, students deepen their regional understanding of China and the Korean Peninsula, and they can enquire into a variety of themes, including problems of historical recognition in East Asia and environmental problems pertaining to the Asia-Pacific region. In the Americas Course, learning about the basic characteristics of North and Latin American societies, students take classes concerning specific fields of interest ranging from racial problems to pop culture.

The acquisition of foreign languages begins with reading comprehension and encompasses communicative ability. This faculty provides foreign language curriculum rich in quality and quantity. Native-speaker and experienced Japanese instructors offer foreign language classes to increase student’s language abilities.
